Facebook App Enables Users to Suggest Presidential Priorities

A new Facebook app enables users of the popular social network to vividly post their views on what President Obama should make his top priority.

The non-profit advocacy group Consumer Watchdog has created the Barack & Me application to give Facebook users a chance to tell the president what they hope he will resolve to do this year.

The app inserts your image alongside a profile image of Obama with your suggested resolution as the image caption. The idea is to post it to your Facebook profile for your friends to see.

"The Arizona nightmare wasn't how anyone wanted to start the year, or what we had in mind for this application, but it's now more important than ever that we send a message of resolve," says Doug Heller, the group's executive director.

Consumer Watchdog will post some of the suggested resolutions on its Facebook page, as well as to the White House Facebook page. It also plans to send a letter addressed to the White House containing the top resolutions.
