Accountability

When a Californian dies or suffers lifelong harm due to medical negligence, the patient or surviving family member wants answers regarding what happened, and they want the doctor to be held accountable if they were responsible for causing lifelong harm or a tragic death. The Medical Board is charged with oversight of doctors. However, as the medical board enforcement process works now, doctors have due process and complainants and surviving family members do not. Too often, patients are harmed by doctors with a history of repeat offenses.

Pursuing policy changes and legislation seeking equal rights for families to protect patients from dangerous doctors and ensure accountability for Californians.
