Hayashi Urged to Say ‘No’ to Governor’s Rescission Bill

When we at Consumer Watchdog heard a disturbing rumor late last week that Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi (D-Hayward) is considering authoring the governor’s bill on health insurance rescissions we sent her this letter urging her to reconsider.

The bill breaks the governor’s promise that ‘no innocent patient will lose their health insurance again’ and puts many more Californians at risk of having their coverage retroactively cancelled when they get sick.
