Accessibility Statement

Consumer Watchdog is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks so assistive technology can navigate the page structure.
  • A “skip to main content” link and full keyboard operability with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Color contrast that meets WCAG AA for body text.
  • Accessible names on icon buttons and links, and labels on form fields.
  • Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” preference.
  • A responsive layout that adapts to zoom and small screens.

Compatibility

This website is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible, including certain third-party embeds and older archived material. We are working to address these areas.
