Kimberly Turbin

Kimberly Turbin

Kimberly Turbin became an advocate following a forced episiotomy and medical battery during delivery of her son. Left suffering lifelong harm and PTSD, Kimberly’s battle for accountability led to her posting her birth video on YouTube which displayed the episiotomy and her protests. The video went viral, and Kimberly became the face of the obstetrics violence movement.

Kimberly joined our team of advocates and has been a supportive force helping our maternal negligence advocates seek justice for the deaths of young mothers. She has joined our team testifying before the Medical Board of California, legislative committee hearings, and sunset reviews. Kimberly focuses her advocacy on medical board reform, obstetric violence, and maternal mortality. She resides in Los Angeles.
