Alka joined our advocacy team following the death of her sister Shilpa. Shilpa Airy endured medical negligence at two separate hospitals in San Francisco following an endoscopy that damaged both of her lungs. Later, at another hospital, she was denied cardiac treatment and a double lung transplant.
