Uber is working across America and in California to limit accident victims’ legal rights under the premise its insurance costs are too high. In fact, Uber self-funds its own insurance and has accumulated a $12 billion reserve that is seeks to use to finance robotaxis if it is relieved of its legal responsibility to pay crash victims.
