Californians’ Rights

Californians can also protect their personal information by visiting a state registry of data brokers. They can request, correct, limit, delete, or opt out of data collection.

California has 500 data brokers. In 2026, Californians will be able to opt out by sending one message to them all. Until then, consumers need to approach the companies one by one.
