Consumer Watchdog is looking for law students eager to help make a difference in consumer rights, privacy, and corporate accountability to join our team over the summer or for an academic term as Volunteer Law Student Interns.

About Consumer Watchdog

Consumer Watchdog is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting consumers and holding corporations and government accountable.  Our impactful litigation and advocacy campaigns tackle issues like consumer protection, healthcare reform, privacy rights, environmental justice, and financial fairness.

Internship Highlights

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on consumer protection issues.
  • Assist in preparing court filings, including motions and briefs.
  • Support ongoing litigation and advocacy efforts.
  • Participate in strategy sessions and case reviews.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in law school (1L, 2L, or 3L).
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to public interest law and consumer advocacy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Details

  • Location: Hybrid opportunities available at our headquarters in Los Angeles or remotely.
  • Duration: 8-10 weeks during Summer 2025.
  • Time Commitment: Flexible schedule, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  • Compensation: Volunteer position (academic credit may be available through your law school).
