Liza Tucker is a Consumer Advocate for Consumer Watchdog, following everything from California’s regulation of oil and gas to toxic substances.
Prior to joining Consumer Watchdog, she worked for a decade at Marketplace Radio, the largest, most-listened-to business and economics broadcast show in the U.S. airing on hundreds of public radio stations nationwide. She served as an editor and producer for both Washington and Sustainability news.
Prior to that, Liza worked as a staff writer for the Washington Post and freelanced her way through the fall of the Soviet Union for the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and Time Magazine. She has also worked as a consultant, teacher, and translator from Russian to English. She holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and an M.F.A. from Columbia School of the Arts. She lives in Los Angeles.
