Consumer Watchdog pointed out that the ballot measure contains deceptive language that allows un-elected commissioners to sign multi-million dollar long-term contracts without City Council approval, removes all City Council oversight over power contracts up to 30 years in length, and in some cases takes away the City Council’s power to veto contracts entirely.
