To AT&T, “hands-free” is a Bluetooth opportunity

I got this email from AT&T in my inbox yesterday:

Should it surprise me that AT&T jumped on California’s hands-free
driving law as a marketing opportunity? They warn me that it’s time to
buy a hands-free option because the law goes into effect July 1. But,
at least in this ad, expensive bluetooth technology looks like the only
alternative. No mention of the good old-fashioned ear bud, which is
not only cheap, but has the added bonus of not making you feel like a
cyborg.

Even better, you can get one sent to you for almost nothing. This nonprofit organization, FreeHeadset.org, is giving away hands-free devices: All you have to pay is shipping and handling.
