Terrorist attack-related news from Southern California

The Associated Press

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) – The Foundation For Taxpayer and Consumer Rights on Friday urged taxpayers to sign over their tax refund checks to the families of those who died in the terrorist attacks.

Executive director Jamie Court pledged to donate his family’s $600 refund to the New York firefighters’ families.

“The families of heroes who left their homes and never returned deserve these dollars as public thanks,” Court said in a statement.
