“Google HomeView” arrives in Germany

Published on

Many Germans have objected strenuously to Google’s Street View service saying that it is an improper invasion of their privacy.

Now there’s a delightful German video satirizing Street View. Rather than documenting the ubiquitous camera cars that invade villages snapping photos in all directions for that service, it chronicles a supposed Google team in its effort to photograph "every room in every house in Germany" as part of a new service called "Google HomeView."

It doesn’t matter if you don’t sprechen ein bisschen Deutsch; the  3 minute video embedded below is  hilarious.  And, you might learn a foreign word or two. "Sex" is the same in both languages by the way. So is Google.

Just don’t show this to Eric, Larry and Sergey.  They might get some dangerous ideas.
