Gov, Please Stop the Fundraising

Published on

Air Arnold flew over last
night’s post-Oscar Vanity Fair party and the other post-Oscar Hollywood
parties with the lighted message, "Governor: Please Stop the
Fundraising – The People." Now Arnold can’t say that no one has asked.
Last Friday he told the Los Angeles Times: "I have never seen anyone
come up to me and say, ‘Governor, please stop the
fundraising.’" See footage of the protest and overhead message at http://arnoldwatch.org/assets/AW_mov/oscarprotest.mov

Arnold must have seen the plane because the Gov’s SUV pulled away from
the red carpet entrance while about seventy nurses and activists on the
ground protested the Governor’s fundraising to the throng of
celebrities and cameras at Morton’s restaurant. That according to a
Sheriff’s deputy who informed protestors that the Governor had left
because he didn’t want to be confronted. We wonder whether Arnold
merely slipped in the back door, as he has twice before when faced with
protestors criticizing his fundraising.

Earlier in the day a banner flew over the red carpet at the Oscars at
Hollywood and Highland for all Hollywood to see. It read: "Bad Actors
Make Worse Governors." See a photo at http://arnoldwatch.org/assets/AW_pics/oscarbanner.gif . You can email Arnold to tell him to stop the fundraising at http://www.govmail.ca.gov/
